TLHP Release Scoop Flat Pack Kit for PD.1850/2
French audio company Tout Le Haut Parleur.com have recently released the TLHP K-Scoop-1850. An 18-inch, rear horn-loaded ‘scoop’ design, loudspeaker enclosure that comes supplied with the Precision Devices PD.1850/2 sub bass driver (8 Ohm impedance, 800W (AES) nominal power handling, 1600W (AES) Max).
The robust flat pack kit design features 18mm Finnish Birch plywood with pre-drilled fixing holes and grooved joints to keep joinery work clean, save assembly time and guarantee lasting strength. Direct comparisons of the cabinet performance can be made to the RX18 ASS, Jah Tubby Scoop Bins, Rog Mogal Super Scooper 18, JBL 4530 and HOG Scoop.
Handles are positioned into the rear of the enclosure for ease of transport. In addition, two wheels are integrated into the lower-rear part of the box which are positioned so that they only allow movement when the box is tilted. The rear panel is also fitted with a black steel trough with dual Speakon Neutrik NL4MPR connectors for connection flexibility.
Complex internal structures are realised according to the ‘strato-design’ method, this ensures a very high stability of the speaker enclosure even at high level. The recessed central, vertical column further increases the rigidity of the enclosure and optimises the overall mass.
An optional cover grill is available separately to ensure protection of the loudspeaker driver. A 36mm space from the grill to the driver greatly limits the risk of shocks to the loudspeaker cone on the grill.
The TLHP K-Scoop-1850 is available from €991.35*.
